Atti Worku is a woman believes greats things can spring from rough conditions, if they are given the right nourishment. Born in Adama, Ethiopia, Atti has traveled the world developing her passion for the next generation of African leaders. As the founder of Seeds of Africa, a New York based 501 (C) (3) organization and registered NGO; Atti works to create holistic education and community development centers within urban communities in Africa.
Seeds, as she affectionately calls her life's passion, currently works in the city of Adama providing education programs for kindergarten and elementary-aged children and community development programs that serve their families. Atti strongly believes that education and community development programs provide the necessary tools to win the fight against poverty because individuals are empowered to find long lasting and local solutions to the issues they face. As leader in the field of international education, Atti is proving that what begun as one woman's dream to plant hope within the lives of a handful of Ethiopian children is fast becoming a model for African Education and Community Development.
Atti's unique beauty has been recognized across the world. As the Former Miss Ethiopia, she competed in the coveted Miss Universe Pageant in Thailand. As a fashion model, she worked in South Africa, and here in the US (Dallas and New York). Atti graduated Cum Laude from Columbia University with BA in Sustainable Development. She currently resides in New York.
